90210 Organics Review & Giveaway

Recently I came across a great online store that specializes in making natural, organic products from a wide variety of companies. 90210 Organics sells products ranging from eco-friendly products for pets, the home, kids, pregnancy and much more.

90210 Organics was founded by two moms from California (Jennifer and Sarah) “who are passionate about living naturally and who want to share that passion with the world.” Before Jennifer and Sarah decide to sell a product in their store, they make sure to do research into the company’s business practices, how eco-friendly they are and the commitment the company has to helping the environment. Jennifer and Sarah believe in selling only 100% organic products that they personally love. If they don’t love it, you won’t find it in their store.

Review
After talking a bit with Sarah, she asked if I would be willing to test some organic cosmetics that they sell. Of course, I had to say yes. I had never tried organic cosmetics before but I had been wanting to. Sarah sent me the Mixology 'Blue Eyes POP 2' Collection plus a Mixology vegan application brush to apply the eye shadows. What I love especially about the Mixology Collection is that it is made especially to enhance your eye color.

When I first received the set of eye shadows, I immediately loved the deep, rich colors that were included in the package. When I opened up each container of eye shadow, they had a little message (like a fortune) on each plastic cover. I thought that was a really cute idea. Once I popped the plastic cover off, I noticed the beautiful shimmer in each of the eye shadows. When I started to apply the eye shadows, I realized how easy they were to apply. Because each eye shadow is a loose powder instead of a pressed powder, you get a much better color and coverage without having to use very much.

After applying all four eye shadows, I was extremely happy with how it made my eyes look. The eye shadows did exactly what they were supposed to do and the blue in my eyes looked nice and vibrant. The colors included in the Mixology ‘Blue Eyes POP 2’ Collection are ones I probably would not have picked if I went looking in a store on my own. This is just because I find it hard to imagine what would look good and generally go with the browns because they are a safe bet for blue eyes. I really like the idea of being able to purchase a set of eye shadows that is made specifically for my eye color.

When using the Mixology eye shadows I discovered one aspect that can be seen as both a positive and a negative aspect, depending on what you prefer. I found that the eye shadows all stayed in place very well; however, I found that they were consequently difficult to remove, even with eye makeup remover (especially the liner).

Finally, the Mixology ‘Blue Eyes POP 2’ Collection is a bit more money than I would normally spend on a set of eye shadows; however, I think that it is definitely worth the investment. The amount of eye shadow that you receive in each container is generous and would surely last a long time. In addition, the Mixology sets are wonderful because you don’t have to worry about how the color will look on you; that is already determined in each set by the company. The Mixology Collection is a great choice for people looking for a good quality organic eye shadow that is specifically suited to bring out their eye color!
