CoverBee Review & Giveaway!

In the past few months, I have gained a new found fascination with cases to carry my laptop in. Since I take it nearly everywhere I go, it is nice to have a case that reflects my personality and is functional at the same time. One of my recent favorite places to shop for laptop cases (sleeves in particular) is a company called CoverBee.

CoverBee creates the most unique and stylish laptop sleeves I have ever come across. Not only are they stylish, but they offer your laptop protection as well. This is great because it allows you to easily carry your laptop in bags that may not be made specifically for laptops (such as a tote bag or a standard backpack). Each CoverBee sleeve is quite thin, which means no added bulk. Finally, since the fabric used in each CoverBee sleeve is of excellent quality, it is sure to protect your laptop from scuffs and scratches.

CoverBee laptop sleeves come in two sizes: 15.4" for standard sized laptops and 8.9" for the new and popular net books! Each sleeve is handmade in Holland, Europe and offers superior quality. In addition, CoverBee shows that it cares for society as a whole by agreeing to offer jobs to those less fortunate.

Finally, another great thing about CoverBee is that they do not believe in charging you for shipping. All orders placed on the CoverBee website are shipped worldwide, completely FREE of charge (no minimum purchase required)! Now that is something you don't see very often!

Review
The owner of CoverBee offered to send me one 15.4" sleeve and one 8.9" sleeve to test out. Since I generally use a laptop bag, I was looking forward to trying out the CoverBee sleeve instead. The main aspect I like about the CoverBee sleeves (besides their amazing style) is that they allow you to carry your laptop in any bag; your bag no longer has to be made specifically for a laptop. This is great because you can easily use another bag that you already own instead of buying a whole new one. From first hand experience, I know bags made specifically for laptops can be pricey. Since CoverBee sleeves are reasonably priced and you don't have to pay for shipping, these sleeves make an excellent alternative.

At first glance, I noticed that each sleeve was made with wonderful care. All the finishings look extremely professional and it seems like the sleeves will hold up for quite a long time. Besides the high-quality finishes, I was also very impressed with the quality of their fabric. I could easily tell that they don't use cheap fabric; it is evident that they use the best of the best. Each fabric used for the sleeves felt strong and looked fantastic! Additionally, I love that they use two different colored/designed fabrics for each sleeve. The choices they have made for their designs are chic, classy and sure to impress! I can pretty much guarantee that you'll get compliments on these wonderfully unique and stylish sleeves!

After having the chance to review CoverBee's laptop sleeves, I have to say, I am very impressed! I know that CoverBee is one online store that I will be visiting in the future. The next sleeve on my wish list is the Red Polka in 15.4". It looks fabulous and reminds me of Disney and Minnie Mouse (happy memories)!

Update 16/04/2009 - I was just reading through my review and I forgot to mention one thing that I'd love to see added to these sleeves in the future. Even though I loved everything about these sleeves, it really like to see CoverBee add a strap or some type of closure at the opening of the sleeve to ensure my laptop was as protected as possible. Since I am a worry-wart, this would ease my mind.
