London Drugs Coupon Stacking (My 2/19/2010 Shop)
I haven't gone to London Drugs for a shopping trip in awhile. Of course, not because I didn't want to (I love London Drugs) but it seemed that we were pretty well stocked up on most things. Yesterday I worked on organizing some coupons into my coupon binder and looking at sales flyers. Since London Drugs has some awesome sales on this week, I had to make my way there before the sale was over.
Here's what I bought:
1 - Electrasol/FINISH Powerball (25-pack)
2 - Aveeno Body Wash (Full size)
1 - Bounty (2-pack)
1 - Tampax Pearl (18-pack)
1 - Tampax Pearl (36-pack + 20 bonus Always liners)
1 - Tylenol Muscle Aches and Body Pains (72-pack) *For this product, I used a $2 off coupon from my list of printable Canadian coupons
3 - Dove Shampoos (Full size)
2 - Pantene Pro-V 2-in-1 shampoos (Full size)
1 - Charmin (4-pack double roll)
Total Spent: $14.41 ($6.53 of which was tax)
Total Saved (coupons): $57.99
Helpful Hint of the Day: Save even more money by making a list of things to buy before you go to the store. This will help you avoid impulse buys and it will allow you to save more money by shopping according to current sales. When making your shopping list, make sure to check out prices on London Drug's website to make sure you are getting the best deal. For the most part, the dollar amount you see online will usually be the same price charged in-store. By browsing their website first, you will also learn about the brands that London Drugs carries. If you aren't brand loyal, this is a great option for saving more money. As for sales, coupons, and London Drugs, I have to get the product for free or almost free to buy it (usually less than $1.50 per product - of course, depending on the type of product). That is unless I really really need it. Note: If the item you want is something that can wait, wait until it goes on sale!
As always, I hope that my posts about saving money help you to realize that their are tons of ways to help you save money on your variable costs (e.g. groceries, personal care products, etc.). Remember, coupons aren't useless or worthless. Truth is - Coupons can save you tons of money if you know how to use them!

Update: Canadian Coupons (Printable)
I just updated the Printable Coupons for Canada (on-going list) with a bunch of new coupons to help you save even more! As usual, the coupons are sorted alphabetically and include an expiry date to make things a bit easier! All new coupons that I added to the list today will show *NEW* in front of them.
