Announcing: The Monthly Food Ingredient Challenge

We have been making some changes in our eating habits lately. A few things we have been trying to do include,
- eating healthier
- trying new foods
- switching to an organic diet, slowly replacing staples in our cupboards and purchasing organic produce

I've been thinking about how best to share this journey with all of you. After a bit of brainstorming, I've decided to do a food challenge each and every month.

The goal: to eat healthier and experiment with new foods.

How this will work: at the end of each month I will announce two (healthy) ingredients that we will be incorporating into our meals throughout the month. I will also be trying a number of new recipes using these ingredients that I will share with you here on Everything Up Close and on my social media accounts.

I would love to see some of my readers join the challenge. I challenge you to pick two ingredients each month that are healthy options, and new to your family or an ingredient you rarely use. If you are participating, I'd love if you'd come back to Everything Up Close at the end of each month and tell me and my readers about the ingredients you've chosen for the month. If you have a blog and are planning to chronicle the experience, I'd love if you'd leave your blog link.

In the meantime, I'd love to hear your feedback. I'd also love to hear what your family does to ensure a healthier diet with a variety of foods.
